Baruntse Peak Climbing (7,152 m) is a long day climbing trip which takes about 21 days to climb. Like Island Peak and Mera Peak, it is also one of the best peak to climb for adventure seekers; it is located in Khumbu Region of Nepal, just in the middle of 2 great sibling peaks – Lhotse and Makalu. This mountain peak was first climbed by 2 Kiwis, they are Colin Todd and Geoff Harrow in May, 1954 from the south route. There is also another route to climb from South East of Baruntse which quite more difficult than South Route because of its eminent ice steep and way and higher altitude.

Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2840 m) than trek to Chutanga Camp (3020 m). It takes around three hours.

Trek from Chutanga (3020 m) via Zatrawa la Pass (4610 m) to Taktho (3670 m). It takes around six hours.

Trek from Taktho (3670 m) to Kothe (3580 m). It takes around six hours.

Trek from Kothe (3580 m) to Tangnag (4358 m). It takes around five hours.

Test day at Tangnag (4358 m) for Acclimatization.

Trek from Tangnag (4358 m) to Khare (5047 m). It takes around five hours.

Trek from Khare (5047 m) to Kongme Dingma (5068 m). via Mera La Pass (5350 m). It takes around six hours.

Trek from Kongme Dingma (5068 m) to Hongu Khola (4870 m). It takes around seven hours.

Trek from Amphu Labsta Base Camp (5527 m) to Chhukhung (4730 m) via Amphulapcha Pass ( 5845 m). It takes around nine hours.

Trek from Chhukhung (4730 m) to Pangboche (3930 m). It takes around six hours.

Trek from Pangboche (3930 m) to Namche (3440 m). It takes around six hours.

Trek from Namche (3440 m) to Lukla (2840 m). It takes around eight hours.

Fly from Lukla (2840 m) to Kathmandu. It takes around 45 minutes.

  • A Government Licence climbing guide
  • Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) National Park Entry Permit.
  • Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) card
  • Necessary porters including a cook and a kitchen helper (one porter can carry the luggage upto 20 kilograms)

Price Excludes

  • Emergency Mountain Medical Rescue Insurance (Provided by your insurance company please buy in your country, you could not buy in Nepal)
  • All meals three times a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for you during the trekking and climbing
  • Accommodation in Lodges during for you during the trekking.
  • Garbage disposal deposit US$ 500. But this amount is refundable to you after your arrival from the trek.
