Rock Climbing

1 Day

Rock Climbing is one of the coolest adventure activities in Nepal which both foreigners and locals indulge in very often. There are many locations in Nepal that offer you great naturally-made rock climbing walls. In addition, there are also many rock-climbing centres that offer you very well-made artificial rock climbing walls. The main rock climbing sites in Nepal are Shreeban Rock Climbing, Hattiban Rock Climbing, and Balaju Rock Climbing. All these sites offer you not only top-notch walls to climb on but also equally good equipment to keep your activity safe and comfortable.

Since most of these rock climbing sites are located just a few kilometres outside the Kathmandu Valley, the trip can be easily made by driving to the destination for about an hour and then doing a quick, easy hike to the rock climbing spot.

Rock Climbing is quite a demanding adventure activity, both physically as well as mentally. You need to be strong both in body and mind and it demands a lot of strength, energy, endurance, and agility. It’s literally climbing vertical rocks with your bare hands with a rope tied around you. The rope tied around you is mostly for your safety. It also allows you to descend easily down the rock once you finish your climbing.
