Trip Introduction

Jomsom Muktinath trek is a part of Annapurna trek. Located at the lower part of Mustang called lower Mustang at an altitude of 3, 749m. It is the most popular trek in comparison to others, it is one of the easier trek and can be done throughout the year as it lies behind the mountains and falls under rain shadow area. You can enjoy spectacular views of Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) ranges. This route actually crosses the Himalayan range for some magnificent views of the northern flanks. This is a remarkable trek where you can explore the Buddhist and Hindu culture as well as deepest gorge in the world and Jomsom is known as arid valley stunning you to praise it. On the other hand, Muktinath is one of the Nepal’s most famous pilgrimage sites with one hundred and eight stone taps and the marvelous temples.

As many western trekking routes, it also starts from and ends in Pokhara valley. Jomsom Muktinath 10 days trek is actually a short trekking package made for those who have limited visit time in Nepal. It is a cultural trip package which offers some religious places like Muktinath Temple, and Buddhist Monasteries as well as tradition and culture of Gurung and Magar. There is also other trip package that take you to the Upper Mustang. Generally, we have made 15 days’ Upper Mustang Trek Itinerary for adventure seekers.

During the whole trip, our main focus will be on your safety and entertainment. However, sometimes, there may attend some kind of problem, like weather problem and your health problem. So in that situation, we expect your co-operation with our guide and agency.

Day 01

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.) which takes about six hours.

Day 02:

Drive from Pokhara (915 m.) to Phedi (1130 m.) and trek from Phedi to Pothana which takes about five hours.

Day 03:

Trek from Pothana to Ghandruk (1940m.) which takes about six hours.

Day 04:

Trek from Ghandruk to Tadapani (2650m.) and it takes about four hours.

Day 05:

Trek from Tadapani to Ghorepani (2853m.) which takes about five hours.

Day 06:

Trek from Ghorepani to Tatopani (1189m.) which takes about seven and half hours.

Day 07:

Drive from Tatopani to Marpha (2667m.) which takes about four hours.

Day 08:

Trek from Marpha to Kagbeni (2897m.) via Jomsom (2713m.) and it takes about five hours.

Day 09:

Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3795 m.) which takes about 4 hours. Back to Jomsom

Day 10:

Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara which takes about 20 minutes.
