It is one of the major water source and hydro-power source of Nepal. Kali Gandaki is the major stream of the deepest river of Nepal – Sapta Gandaki which is better known as Narayani River. The gorge made by Kali Gandaki is known as Kali Gandaki Gorge which is the deepest gorge of the world. The main source of Kali Gadaki River lies in the basin of Mount. Dhaulagiri (Mustang District) near at Tibet Border. Shaligram (A Holy stone – Hindus consider it as the God) of Kali Gandaki is very famous not only in Nepal but also in India. Kali Gandaki has large potential of Hydro Power. The biggest hydropower project of Nepal – Kali Gandaki A Hydro Power has been also made by the water of Kali Gandaki River.
